Vertical machining centers must have good smoothness and reliable sealing installation
When using a vertical machining center for heavy cutting, many inexperienced operators will have difficulties. What kind of transmission spindle should be chosen to ensure good machining accuracy? When it comes to this, you must first understand the specific machining requirements, and also Only when you know what kind of transmission spindle structure are available can you make a selection.
Generally speaking, there are four commonly used transmission structure spindles: gear drive spindle, belt drive spindle, direct drive spindle and electric spindle. It can be said that each has its own characteristics and is suitable for different cutting purposes. Because gear drive spindles will suffer from overload and slippage, etc. It causes the wear of the spindle, which is expensive and difficult to repair, so it is rarely used in the market; the direct-drive spindle and the electric spindle rotate very fast, both above 12000r/min, so they are more common at high speeds; and the belt Transmission spindles are commonly used in cnc machining titanium parts centers.
Generally speaking, the relatively common transmission methods of vertical machining centers include fixed-ratio transmission mechanisms, variable speed mechanisms, start-stop, reversing and braking mechanisms, control mechanisms, and lubrication and sealing devices.
1. Fixed ratio transmission mechanism
Mechanisms with fixed transmission ratios often use belts, gears, worm gears, chain drives, etc. to achieve speed increase, decrease speed, and power transmission.
2. Speed change mechanism1
The speed change mechanism is used to change the rotation speed or movement speed of the follower. Cone wheels, slip gears, swing gears, clutches and AC gears are commonly used in machine tools to complete speed changes. No matter what kind of speed change mechanism, speed change is achieved by changing the transmission ratio. When the speed of the automatic shaft remains unchanged, the driven shaft will lose various speeds.
3. Start, stop, reversing and braking mechanisms
The start-stop mechanism is used to control the start and stop of the motion execution mechanism, which is usually accomplished by using a clutch or a method of starting and stopping the motor. The reversing mechanism is used to change the movement direction of the motion execution mechanism. The function of the braking mechanism is to enable the moving actuator to stop moving as soon as possible after aluminium laser cutting off the source of motion to reduce the assist time.
4. Control mechanism
The start and stop, speed change, reversal, braking, etc. of the transmission cable system all need to go through the corresponding operating mechanism to achieve the desired functions.
Smooth and sealed installation
In order to ensure the normal functioning of the transmission system of the vertical machining center, it must have good lubrication and a reliable sealing device.
